“I depend on God.”

Elizabeth Dettling Moreno is a wife, mother of five, grandmother of sixteen, and great-grandmother of nine. She lived in Wharton, Texas, for most of her life and spent the last twenty-two years on God’s Little Acre where she raised her flocks of various fowl.

After being a widow for over two years after the death of her husband Gabe, Miss Liz married Randy Tolman in November, 2021.  However, she still goes by her pen name, Elizabeth Dettling Moreno.

Elizabeth is the author of two other children’s books, Sancho the Silly Billy Goat, and The Return of Sancho, the Not-So-Silly Billy Goat and 3 coloring books: The Sancho Coloring Book, Tales from the Chicken Yard Coloring Book, and The Covid Pandemic and How the Animals Saved the day.

She was blessed to help Holocaust survivor Helen Colin write her autobiography, My Dream of Freedom, from Holocaust to My Beloved America, in 2013.  She published Psalms of Motherhood and Other Reflections on Life in 2021. It’s the story of how she depended on God to take care of her and her four children after her first husband deserted them. All of her books are available for sale except the Covid coloring book, which was a limited edition. Her email is elizabethmoreno@gmail.com.
